About Us
Our company really wasn't a company for many years. It was just the freelance career of Leisa Good -- that's me.
I began writing resumes for friends during the mid-90's and just never stopped. I learned how to write resumes at what was then the prestigious Washington Business School -- now Sanford-Brown College in Vienna, Virginia. I had a "knack" for it and just kept cranking out those resumes.
As I continued to work in the Corporate World, I was privileged to learn from hiring managers and recruiters what they really wanted to see in a resume. More importantly I learned "insider's tips" as to what they didn't want to see in a resume.
During the early part of the Year 2000 the Internet became full-circle, and I also went back to school to study advertising. It was then and there that I discovered a resume needs to be more than a chronological record of work history.
A resume needs to be a powerful self-promotion. The same or similar marketing techniques that I learned to sell consumer products via web sites could also be used to sell business services/skills via resumes.
Add a benefits-rich cover letter, and your resume becomes your best marketing tool towards getting the job and salary you want.
Let your expertise shine.
